Interac e-Transfer: Easy Deposits & Withdrawals
Interac e-Transfer is a fast and secure way to move funds between your bank and your account. This guide walks you through how to make a deposit, request a withdrawal, and answers the most common questions about processing times, limits, and troubleshooting.
How to Deposit with Interac e-Transfer
- Go to Menu > Wallet > Deposit.
- Select Interac e-Transfer as your method and enter the amount.
- Follow the prompts to your financial institution, review details, and confirm the deposit.
- You’ll get a confirmation once funds are available.
How to Withdraw with Interac e-Transfer
Ready to cash out? Before you start, keep two things in mind:
- You must have previously deposited via Interac e-Transfer.
- For faster withdrawals, enable Auto Deposit with your bank.
Once you're set, just follow these steps:
- Go to Menu > Wallet > Withdraw.
- Select Interac e-Transfer, enter your email and withdrawal amount.
- Choose your financial institution and complete via Auto Deposit or Email Transfer.
Processing Times
Deposits: Typically instant but can take up to 30 minutes to appear.
Withdrawals via Auto Deposit: Instant, up to 24 hours
Withdrawals via Email Transfer: 1 to 3 business days
Transaction Limits
The minimum amount you can transfer is $10 per transaction, and the maximum is $10,000 per transaction.
Important Information
If your bank isn't listed: Simply choose a different payment method to complete your transaction.
Changing or updating your bank: Just start a new deposit and select your preferred bank when prompted.
If a transaction doesn't go through: It's usually due to one of a few common reasons:
- Insufficient funds
- Incorrect account information
- A pending account verification
- An amount that falls outside the allowed limits
Checking your transaction status: You can always keep an eye on your activity by heading to Menu > Wallet > Transaction History, where you'll find the status of all your transactions in one place.
Are There Any Fees? We don't charge any fees for Interac e-Transfer, but your bank may apply its own charges. It's always worth checking with them directly.
